It is in my heart to give away the sweater by means of a drawing. Uniting Trojan alumni together for a purpose is also a wish of mine. I would love for us as a group to leave our mark on Montgomery County youth, not in retrospect, but in regard to the future. The first opportunity is awaiting us, I truly believe.
For the past 20 years, my family has attended the First Church of God, commonly known as the "big church" here in Mt. Sterling. We are currently in a campaign correctly titled "Worth It" to build a new youth ministry building. Click here to read more about this venture. Also, please consider making a donation to this timely cause.

There is a deadline we are working with. If you know anything at all about me, you know that I am always late. :( The campaign officially ends on Sunday, April 25. Plans are to have a Trojan gathering on Saturday, April 17 where we'll draw a winner for the sweater, enjoy a time of fellowship, and announce the total of our gift for this student ministry center.
I also invite you to share your MSHS Trojan memories by replying to this and other posts. My hope is that "The Sweater" can serve as a catalyst both to help us remember and to help us consider the way we can "pay it forward" for Montgomery County youth.
So leave a comment and you'll automatically be entered in the drawing. Please consider making a gift to this important project. Be sure to mark your gift "Worth It--The Sweater" so that we can track our grand total. Click here for online giving.
If you'd prefer to send a check, make your check payable to First Church of God and note that it is for "Worth It--The Sweater." Mail it to First Church of God, 1051 Camargo Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
Thanks for visiting! I look forward to hearing from you.
There's one advantage in having a last name that used to begin with A - you get to go FIRST. I am joyfully mailing in my check tomorrow with "Worth It - The Sweater" on the memo line. I'm so excited.

ReplyDeleteMom,
ReplyDeleteI really don't want the sweater but I would like to help you with your cause. Growing up in Mount Sterling, I know that teenagers there tend to have a lot of free time on their hands and what better way to spend that time learning about God. Count me in as well. Love ya
